"Maryland Bridge"
A Maryland bridge is a treatment option for replacing missing teeth with porcelain teeth with metallic wings. The technique for this bridge was first developed at the University of Maryland and is what got the name.
An original Maryland bridge is made of a metal structure with terracotta teeth on the front of the frame. The framework then ends as false porcelain with metallic wings on both sides. The wings are then tied to the back of the lateral teeth.
